Kid-friendly, gentle dental care that makes your children smile

A Dental Home Your Child Will Love

At Forever Smiles Turlock, we understand that children have different needs than adults. That's why we've designed our practice specifically to make dental visits fun, comfortable, and stress-free for young patients. We believe that creating positive dental experiences early sets the foundation for a lifetime of good oral health habits.

Dr. Jasleen Kaur has extensive experience working with children of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers. She approaches pediatric care with patience, gentleness, and a genuine love for helping children. Her goal is not just to care for your child's teeth today, but to help them develop a healthy attitude toward dental health.

Why Parents Choose Forever Smiles

Your child's smile is in great hands

Kid-Friendly Environment

Our office is designed to be welcoming and fun for children, with a warm, colorful atmosphere that helps them feel at ease. We minimize scary sounds and sights whenever possible.

Gentle, Patient Care

Dr. Kaur and her team take time to explain procedures in child-friendly language and move at your child's pace. We never rush, ensuring your child feels safe and respected.

Preventive Focus

We emphasize prevention through education, fluoride applications, sealants, and regular cleanings. Our goal is to help your child avoid cavities and develop excellent oral hygiene habits.

Parent Communication

We keep parents informed every step of the way. We'll explain what we find, answer your questions, and work with you to create the best dental care plan for your child.

Experienced with All Ages

From first teeth to teens, we have experience with children at every stage of development. We tailor our approach to your child's age and comfort level.

Pediatric Services We Offer

Comprehensive dental care designed just for children

Cleanings & Exams

Regular dental visits and cleanings help us monitor your child's dental development, check for cavities, and remove plaque and tartar buildup.

Cavity Prevention

We provide fluoride treatments, dental sealants, and education on proper brushing and flossing to prevent cavities before they start.

Fillings

If a cavity does develop, we treat it promptly with tooth-colored fillings that look natural and are safe for children.

Mouthguards

For children who play sports, we create custom-fitted mouthguards to protect their teeth from injury.

Orthodontic Evaluation

We monitor bite development and can recommend orthodontic treatment when appropriate. Early intervention with braces can prevent more serious issues later.

Emergency Care

If your child has a dental emergency—a knocked-out tooth, broken tooth, or severe pain—we're here to help with same-day appointments when possible.

Tips for Taking Care of Your Child's Teeth

Start Early

Begin cleaning your baby's teeth as soon as the first tooth appears. Start with a soft cloth, then transition to a soft-bristled toothbrush. Schedule your child's first dental visit by age 1 or when the first tooth erupts.

Establish Healthy Habits

  • Brush twice daily with a fluoride toothpaste (use a pea-sized amount for children under 3)
  • Floss daily once children have teeth that touch
  • Limit sugary foods and drinks, especially between meals and before bed
  • Encourage water instead of juice or sugary drinks
  • Supervise brushing until children are 7-8 years old

Regular Dental Visits

We recommend dental visits every 6 months for children with healthy teeth. More frequent visits may be needed if your child is cavity-prone or has other risk factors.

Address Concerns Promptly

If you notice tooth decay, crowding, or other concerns, contact us right away. Early treatment is usually simpler and less costly than waiting until problems become serious.

Be a Good Role Model

Children learn by example. When they see you taking care of your own teeth and visiting the dentist regularly, they'll be more likely to do the same.
