Understanding Your Benefits

Most dental insurance plans cover:

• Preventive Care (100%): Cleanings, exams, and X-rays—fully covered
• Basic Restorative (80%): Fillings and simple extractions
• Major Restorative (50%): Crowns, bridges, implants, and root canals
• Orthodontics (50%): Braces and clear aligners (if covered)

Insurance Maximums

Most plans have an annual maximum benefit (usually $1,000-$2,000) that covers treatment in a calendar year. Once you reach your maximum, you're responsible for additional treatment costs. We'll help you understand your maximum benefit and plan your treatment accordingly.

Pre-Authorizations

For major treatment, insurance companies often require pre-authorizations. We'll submit a treatment plan to your insurance company for approval before beginning treatment. This way, we'll review your benefits with you up front and answer any questions.

Out-of-Network Options

If you have out-of-network coverage, we can often still work with your insurance. We'll submit claims for you and explain your coverage. You may have higher out-of-pocket costs compared to in-network treatment, but we'll make sure you understand the financial implications upfront.
